ENJOY THE ADVENTURE

The following is a look at some of the aspects you may enjoy on your adventures abroad. Work hard and play hard, enjoy the food, local culture, sites, meeting people, and much more!

Enjoy trying new food, such as real authentic and traditional Chinese food. I tasted this while in Shanghai, summer 2009. A spicy soup, with vegetables, lamb and beef. This was enjoyed with a few locals I had met there. Chinese Food and Culture
One of my personal favourites and very popular with locals and visiting English teachers, Korean Barbecue (Beef). You may also have pork. Try and see, you may love it! Many enjoy this meal with friends, family or work dinners along with some drinking. Chinese Food and Culture

You cook your own meat at a Korean Barbecue restaurant. You will also find many western style restaurants as well.

You may also enjoy cooking at home, while abroad. You may find an abundance of local and western ingredients in most cities abroad that will suit your tastes. If you have a craving for a cheese burger, simply make it at home.

Perhaps you want to order out for pizza sometimes. Learning some of a local language will help greatly. For pizza, you will need to know your address and what kind of pizza to order. If you are lucky, the pizza restaurant will know some English as well, but not always.

Cinemas can be found throughout much of Asia and other geographic locations, with English speaking movies and film. The subtitles are in the local language and as a visiting English teacher, you may enjoy movies and film in English on the big screen. DVD rentals are the same as well. You will find most of the big Hollywood productions in most city cinemas in Asia and occasional other foreign films, usually within that nation’s language.

You will find most of the big Hollywood productions in most city cinemas in Asia and occasional other foreign films, usually within that nation’s language. You will also find films done in authentic language, like Mel’ Gibson’s film, “Apocalypto”. I enjoyed the film with local Korean subtitles when the film first came out. I had trouble understanding any dialogue, but it did not matter much. The film was very much straight forward and mostly action and drama. However, on DVD with English subtitles I was able to enjoy it even more.

Beach in Busan, South Korea
On the street behind Haeundae Beach (beach strip) are many different types of restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlours, shops, hotels and pubs or bars. You can also find bath houses, shopping and a large cinema in this area.
