Massie I actually keep an extra copy of my .itl and .xml files from iTunes for exactly this reason…losing my library once was all the lesson I needed. thanks! I WAS STUCK TRYING TO RESTORE MY IPOD'S SOFTWARE AND THAT ANNOYING MESSAGE KEPT SHOWING AND PREVENTING ME TO DO IT.
